What If The Excavator Stalls?

Aug 06, 2022

In the process of excavator, flameout is a common phenomenon. Then, why did the excavator stall? How should we troubleshoot and repair it?

Generally speaking, there are three common flameout problems of excavators:

1. The engine shuts down automatically and shuts down automatically;

2. The excavator engine cannot be started in time after sudden flameout;

3. Excavator engine is easy to shut down at low speed

It will automatically shut down and shut down the car is the two most common failure modes. Interestingly, there are not many flameout types, but they are delayed by special reasons, mainly including:

The excavator oil tank is short of fuel;

Oil leakage of excavator equipment or working failure of fuel injection pump;

Poor or unclean fuel quality;

High moisture content of fuel oil;

The oil supply is not smooth;

Air leakage in fuel oil circuit;

Poor engine lubrication;

The fuel pump drive shaft is broken;

Bearing bush burning of engine;

Engine intake resistance, preventing oil;

Management problems of hydraulic control system: excessive pump pressure;

The signal received by the control system is wrong;

The fuel injection length of the nozzle is not up to standard;

There is a problem with the filter element;

The seal is damaged;

Engine power of hydraulic pump does not match;

Improper adjustment and management of valve system transmission rod or wear;

The internal coil of the oil cut-off valve is damaged;

The pressure limiting valve hole is blocked by iron filings and oil stain;

The following are the steps for troubleshooting and repairing the flameout fault of excavator:

01 check whether the oil tank is short of oil

How does the moisture content of the fuel used change?

The oil can preferably be purchased according to the design requirements and matched with the engine model.

02 whether the oil pressure, water temperature and other instruments are normal??

Judge whether the enterprise cooperates with parts with improper working clearance or excessive running resistance?

Or is it because the temperature is too high, the piston bites the cylinder or the bearing keeps the shaft?

03 check whether the fuel pump drive shaft of the working engine can work normally?

Check whether the idle spring assembly of the working engine, the design of the oil pipeline and the valve driving rod are in good condition.

Check whether the pressure limiting valve is blocked?

Engine lubrication?

04 check whether the power of the hydraulic pump of the excavator matches the power of the engine??

Check the fuel supply control system of the working engine and check whether the fuel supply pipeline can be blocked?

Is there any air or oil leakage?

Is the filter element stuck or dirty?

Is the drain cover of the oil-water separator tightened?

The hydraulic oil filter is clogged with dirt.
