1. Engine removal preparation
(1) Remove the battery ground wire.
(2) Remove the hood and cover, and remove the lower cover.
(3) Remove the air cleaner hose.
(4) Remove the counterweight.
(5) Remove the heat pipe.
(6) Remove the oil pipe and heating pipe, and disconnect the air conditioner connecting pipe as required.
(7) When necessary, remove the pump, muffler and radiator.
(8) Remove the electrical wiring connector.
① Remove the engine ground cable.
② Remove the starter cable-starter B terminal.
③As shown in Figure 4-89, remove the engine accessories and the connector connecting the engine and the upper body.
④ Disassemble the upper vehicle body electrical wiring: CN206 one engine auxiliary fuel tank wiring: CN134, CN135 one speed regulation motor; CN136- engine speed sensor: CN143- engine oil level switch; CN141, CN142- pump matching valve; CN113, CN115-P1 , P2 negative control pressure sensor; CN139, CN140-P1, P2 pump pressure sensor wiring.
Prepare a table that can support the mass of the engine assembly and can be placed stably to disassemble the engine.
2. Disassembly of Kobelco excavator
(1) As shown in Figure 4-90, remove the fixing bolts of the engine bracket.
① Remove four engine bolt fixing nuts M18.
②Remove the protective cover and rubber cushion frame.
③Remove two M18×130 and two M18×140 engine fixing bolts.
④Remove 4 washers.
⑤ Remove 4 covers.
⑥Remove the front rubber pad bracket of the engine and the rear rubber pad bracket of the engine.
(2) Hang the engine body.
Prepare a table that can withstand the mass of the engine assembly and can hold the disassembled engine. Put the engine sling into the front and rear lugs.
(3) Lift the engine from the car and place it firmly on the disassembly platform.
3. Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
