Solution To Engine Failure Of Doosan 60-7 Excavator

In our daily use, our excavator may encounter the situation that the engine cannot be started. When this problem occurs, how to wait for the master to repair it, and what reasons may cause the engine to fail to start. Follow our excavator repairman to have a look.

Fault occurrence: during the repair observation, our excavator maintenance master found that the engine could not be started because the starting motor did not work.

Excavator maintenance masters share the troubleshooting steps for engine failure of Doosan 60-7 excavator:

1. First, let's check whether the fuse in the circuit is blown.

2. Check whether the voltage of the battery is above 24V and whether the density of the electrolyte is 1.23 × 106kg/m3。

3. If the battery voltage and electrolyte density are normal, turn the start switch from the on position to the off position to observe whether the battery relay has an action sound.

4. If there is no sound in the battery relay, we will further check whether the voltage of the starting switch terminal B is within the range of 21 ~ 28V. If the voltage is abnormal, we will repair or replace the harness. After replacement, the starting motor can run and then the engine can start.

5. If the starting motor gear makes a sound of moving outward, we will continue to check whether the voltage between the starting motor terminal B and the chassis is normal (the voltage when the starting switch is turned on is 23v). If the voltage does not reach 23v, we need to further check whether the harness between the positive terminal of the battery and the starting motor terminal B has poor contact, and then the fault can be eliminated after repair.

6. If the voltage between the starting motor terminal B and the chassis is normal, it may indicate that the starting motor has failed. After we replace the starting motor, the fault can be eliminated.
