The hydraulic pump of the excavator converts the mechanical energy of the prime mover into the pressure energy of the working fluid to provide the working fluid with a certain pressure and flow, which belongs to the power source of the hydraulic system. The plunger pump relies on the reciprocating movement of the plunger in the cylinder to change the volume of the sealed working chamber to achieve oil absorption and pressure. Since the holes in the plunger and the cylinder are cylindrical surfaces, it is easy to process, has high matching accuracy, and good sealing performance, and is often made into a high-pressure pump. As long as the working stroke of the plunger is changed, the displacement of the pump can be changed, and it is easy to realize one-way or two-way variable.


Advantage: The plunger pump has high pressure, compact structure, high efficiency, and convenient flow adjustment.


Disadvantages: complex structure, high processing technology requirements and high price.

The plunger pump is divided into axial plunger pump and radial plunger pump according to the direction of plunger arrangement.


Axial piston pump is divided into swash plate type and slant shaft type according to its structural characteristics.
