When we operate excavators, we often encounter the problem of burning oil, which virtually causes the cost of equipment operation, and this symptom is often accompanied by wear and failure of equipment.
1. Use oil with poor quality or viscosity grade that does not meet the requirements. The low quality level of engine oil will lead to increased wear and burning of engine oil.
2. The fit clearance between piston ring and cylinder wall is too large, causing oil burning. In addition, poor sealing performance of the valve sealing ring, damage of the positive crankcase ventilation valve or blockage of the crankcase vent cause excessive pressure in the crankcase, which makes the oil enter the cylinder with crankcase gas to participate in combustion.
3. Oil burning caused by excessive oil filling. When the oil filling exceeds the centerline, due to the high oil pressure, the part lubricated by splashing will enter the combustion chamber too much during engine lubrication.
4. The turbocharger leaks oil. The turbocharger is installed at the front end of the exhaust pipe, and the working temperature is very high. When the engine runs at full load, the speed of the turbine and pump wheel can reach 10-2000 revolutions per minute. The turbine shaft adopts oil lubricated floating bearing, and the car has one oil passage to the turbocharger. Oil leakage from pipes or bearings may cause oil to seep from the turbocharger into the exhaust pipe. When the temperature of the exhaust pipe is high, the engine oil is baked into blue smoke and discharged.
5. The valve oil seal has leakage, which is caused by the oil leaking into the combustion chamber through the valve oil seal.
Burning engine oil is only one of the failures of the excavator. The excavator can operate normally and smoothly, which requires perfect cooperation and connection of every action. This requires that all drivers not only focus on the construction environment, but also closely observe whether every action of the excavator is normal during the construction process.
