Solve The Problem Of Excessive Fuel Consumption Of Construction Machinery

In the engineering and construction industry, construction machinery is of course indispensable construction equipment. Nowadays, large and small construction machinery equipment is a must in every construction site, but it is also facing a big problem, which is serious fuel consumption. The following are some countermeasures against serious oil consumption of construction machinery:



Choose fuel economizer by region



Different geographical characteristics lead to different or even opposite fuel-saving options. This is mainly manifested in the heat in the south and the cold in the north: the temperature in the south is high, and some fuel-saving technologies with enhanced cooling have better effects; while the cold in the north, fuel systems with preheating should be used. This not only can save fuel, but also solve the problem of poor high-temperature heat dissipation of diesel engines or difficulty in starting at low temperatures.






Keep diesel clean



The use of unclean diesel will severely wear the precision parts such as the plunger of the fuel injection pump, the fuel delivery valve, and the fuel injector nozzle, which will increase fuel consumption. For this reason, diesel fuel must be deposited before use; when refueling, try to fill the fuel tank with a hose by the weight of the diesel fuel or pump the fuel by hand, but avoid sucking impurities at the bottom of the barrel (tank) to prevent dust, rain and snow from being mixed. As the diesel is in contact with the air or the tank wall, some dirt will gradually sink to the bottom of the tank or adhere to the tank wall. Even if the diesel fuel added every day is clean, it will be contaminated and aggravate the wear and corrosion of the precision parts of the fuel system. This will increase the fuel consumption of the diesel engine, but also reduce the reliability and durability of its operation. Therefore, the fuel tank must be cleaned regularly.



Supply sufficient fresh air



To make 1kg of diesel fuel fully burned in the cylinder, 15kg of fresh air needs to be supplied. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully maintain the air filter on time and replace the damaged air filter element in time to keep it in a smooth working state. Otherwise, the diesel in the cylinder will burn insufficiently due to insufficient air, and will be discharged from the exhaust pipe in the form of black smoke, thus wasting the diesel.






Keep machinery in good technical condition



(1) Eliminate the failure of the fuel system. If the fuel injector drips or is poorly atomized, the needle valve pair is worn too much or the nozzle hole is enlarged, the fuel supply of the fuel injection pump is too small or the fuel supply of each cylinder is uneven, and the fuel supply time is too early or too late. The diesel in the cylinder is not fully burned, so fuel consumption rises and the exhaust emits black smoke. The fuel injection pump and fuel injector should be calibrated, the plunger, delivery valve, and fuel injection nozzle should be replaced if necessary, and the fuel supply time should be adjusted correctly.



(2) Adjust the valve clearance in time. After the machine works for a period of time, the valve clearance will change. If the clearance is too large, the valve will open late and close early, resulting in insufficient cylinder intake and poor exhaust, resulting in the adverse consequences of increased fuel consumption. If the clearance is too small, when the temperature of the diesel engine rises, after the valve stem expands, the valve and valve seat will leak due to loose sealing, so the cylinder pressure is insufficient, which will also lead to poor combustion and increased fuel consumption, and it is also easy to ablate the valve. For this reason, the valve clearance should be checked regularly and adjusted correctly.



(3) Restore the cylinder pressure in time. When the cylinder pressure is too low due to the large gap between the piston and the cylinder liner assembly due to wear, the loose valve seat or the valve leakage, the diesel fuel injected into the cylinder cannot be completely burned, and the fuel consumption of the machine also increases. The cylinder pressure should be measured regularly, the cylinder barrel, piston or piston ring that wears out of limit should be replaced, and the valve seat and the grinding valve should be reinstalled to restore the normal pressure of the cylinder.
