Top 10 Prohibited Operations And Precautions For Hydraulic Excavators

Oct 19, 2020

1. Prevent the base from collapsing and falling rocks and gravel from above.

2. Prevent the collision between the bucket and the car compartment, and prevent the bucket with materials from passing over the cab or above the car.

3. When the weather is relatively cold, park the machine on a hard and flat ground to prevent the track from freezing with the ground. Remove debris from the track and track frame. If the track is frozen with the ground, lift the track with the boom and move the machine carefully to avoid damage to the drive wheels and track.

4. Before moving the machine, make sure that the direction you want to travel is consistent with the pedal lever for walking. When the walking motor is at the rear, step on the front of the walking pedal or push the walking rod forward, and the machine will walk forwards backwards.

5. When walking long distances, please rest for 5 minutes every 20 minutes of work to avoid damage to the walking motor.

6. Never try to cross a slope with a slope greater than 15 degrees to prevent the machine from turning over.

7. When the automatic idling function is on, pay close attention to the setting of the engine control knob. When the setting speed of the engine control knob is high, if the operator operates the joystick without paying attention to the high engine speed setting, the sudden increase of the engine speed will cause the machine to accelerate, which may cause serious injury to the personnel.

8. Beware of underground facilities: accidental cutting of underground cables or gas pipes may cause explosions, fires, and serious casualties.

9. Beware of elevated facilities such as bridges: If the working device or other parts of the machine hit the elevated objects such as flyovers, the machine and the elevated objects will be damaged, and may cause personal injury; be careful to prevent the boom or stick from colliding with the elevated objects.

10. Keep a safe distance from high-voltage wires: When operating near the wires, do not move any part of the machine or load within the distance of 3 meters of the wire plus 2 times the length of the line insulator. Verify and comply with all applicable local regulations. Wetlands will increase the range of possible electric shocks. Keep people around away from the work area.
