What Are The Reasons For The Insensitive Action Of The Hydraulic Cylinder Of Komatsu Excavator?

Aug 26, 2022

What's wrong with the insensitive hydraulic cylinder of excavator? How to repair it? First of all, we need to know what the insensitive hydraulic cylinder refers to, and what is the cause of this fault before we can find the right remedy to check and eliminate it.

This paper describes the fault inspection method for the insensitivity of the hydraulic cylinder of Komatsu excavator. After the command of the hydraulic cylinder of Komatsu excavator is issued, the hydraulic cylinder cannot act immediately, and it needs a short time before it can act, or it sometimes moves but stops, showing that the operation is very irregular.

How to repair the hydraulic cylinder of Komatsu excavator with insensitive action:

1. The hydraulic pump operates irregularly, and the pump rotation is blocked or slightly blocked. Troubleshooting: according to the type of hydraulic pump and the cause of its failure, solve it separately. Please refer to relevant materials for specific methods.

2. Method for eliminating the air in the hydraulic cylinder: check whether the sealing ring at the reciprocating part of the piston rod has inhaled air through the exhaust valve. If so, replace the sealing ring.

3. When the piston moves at a high speed, the steel ball of the one-way valve follows the oil flow, so that the valve hole is blocked, and the hydraulic cylinder causes irregular action. Replace the steel ball with a cone valve or valve core with a guide shoulder.

4. The elimination method of hydraulic cylinder bearing certain lateral load: see the elimination method of "hydraulic cylinder cannot act" in this article.

5. The inner layer of the rubber hose peels off, making the oil circuit on and off, resulting in irregular action of the hydraulic cylinder. Troubleshooting: replace the rubber hose.

6. When the hydraulic cylinder with buffer device is started reversely, the piston often stops temporarily or reverses. Troubleshooting: the orifice of the one-way valve is too small, so that the amount of oil entering the buffer chamber is too small, and even vacuum occurs. Therefore, the above fault phenomenon will occur at the moment when the buffer plunger leaves the cover. Therefore, the orifice of the check valve should be enlarged.
