(1) Check whether there is burr or acute angle on the processed parts
In the sealing technology, it is very important to protect the lip known as the life of the sealing ring. If there are exhaust holes or oil holes on the inner wall of the cylinder barrel, check and remove the burrs on the guide cone at both ends of the hole to avoid damage to the seal during installation. Check the corresponding surface contacted or rubbed by the seal ring. If there are scars, they must be ground and corrected, otherwise even if the seal is replaced with a new one, oil leakage cannot be prevented. When the sealing ring is to pass through the threaded part, roll a layer of sealing belt on the thread, apply grease on the belt, and then install it.
(2) When installing the seal, use high melting point grease
During the disassembly and assembly of the hydraulic cylinder, wash all parts with washing oil or gasoline, dry them with compressed air, and then apply some grease on the inner surface of the dry cylinder and the sealing ring. In this way, it can not only make the sealing ring easy to install, but also protect the sealing ring from damage during assembly, and the effect is remarkable.
(3) Do not install the seal in the wrong direction
The installation of seals is directional. For V-shaped and Y-shaped sealing rings, the high pressure is generally towards the lip of the sealing ring. If it is an O-ring, there is no directionality, but. A protective ring shall be added behind the O-ring.. The front of the O-ring is pressed, and the back protective ring prevents the O-ring from deforming or being extruded and twisted after being pressed.
