How To Maintain The Construction Hanging Basket?

The construction gondola is a kind of hoisting man-machine tool. After using the gondola to carry out the construction work, we need to carry out some maintenance and repair on it. So, how to maintain, and from what aspects?

1. Suspension mechanism


(1) Check the welding seam thoroughly before the operation. There should be no de-soldering or missing welding. The connectors and fasteners should be complete and reliable, and they should be checked regularly.


(2) The counterweight should comply with the requirements of the instructions for use of the gondola, must not be missing, and have fixed measures to prevent it from slipping and being lost.


(3) The distance between the two suspension points of the suspension mechanism should be equal to the distance between the two suspension points of the suspension platform, and the error should not be greater than 5cm.


(4) After use, the surface dirt should be cleaned in time, cracks in the weld, deformation of the components should be used, and a reasonable process should be used to repair. The paint should be repaired in time to avoid corrosion.


2. Wire rope


(1) Wire ropes of the type specified in the instruction manual of the gondola must be used, and it is strictly prohibited to replace them with other wire ropes.


(2) The method of wire rope threading shall comply with the requirements of the gondola specification.


(3) It is strictly forbidden to use the wire rope.


(4) Remove mortar, paint and other debris adhering to the work and safety wire rope in time.


(5) When local damage or fatigue damage occurs at the wire rope clamp, it should be fixed again in time.


(6) Regularly check the steel wire rope for defects such as loose strands, kinks, broken wires, and flattening. If one of the following conditions occurs, it must be scrapped immediately:


① When there are more than 5 broken wires in the 6d (d-wire rope diameter) length range and more than 10 broken wires in the 30d length range.


② Broken filaments gather locally.


③ The diameter of the wire rope is reduced by more than 7%.


④ The surface steel wire is worn or corroded to more than 40% of the surface steel wire diameter, and the steel wire rope is obviously hardened.


⑤Damage caused by overheating or electric arc.


3. Security lock


(1) The safety lock must be used within the validity period of the calibration.


(2) The safety lock should be flexible and reliable. The glue, mortar and debris on the wire rope should be removed in time to avoid entering the safety lock and reducing its safety performance.


(3) If the safety lock fails, it should be repaired by professionals, and can only be used after passing the test.


(4) When using, it is strictly forbidden to fix the safety lock to open the handle and make it invalid.


(5) When the safety wire rope is in a tight state, do not pull the opening handle hard.


(6) After daily use, the suspension platform should be lowered to the ground, the working wire rope should be loosened, and the safety lock swing arm should be in a relaxed state.


(7) Lock rope inspection should be carried out according to the requirements before each use, and it can be used after passing the inspection


(8) Safety locks that have reached the prescribed calibration period should be sent to the manufacturer for inspection and re-calibration in a timely manner.


4. Suspension platform and hoist


(1) The splicing length of the suspended platform must not exceed the length specified in the product instruction manual.


(2) The connecting pins and bolts of each part should be tight, complete and reliable. There shall be no de-soldering or missing welding at the welding place.


(3) Always check the motor and hoist when using, there should be no overheating, abnormal noise and other phenomena, otherwise it should stop using.


(4) After daily use, turn off the power switch and lock the electrical box. The outdoor storage should take rainproof measures to prevent rainwater from entering the hoist, safety lock and electrical box.


(5) Remove the dirt on the outer surface of the elevator in time to avoid debris entering and exiting the rope and damaging the parts inside the machine.


(6) Replace and fill the specified lubricants in time according to the requirements of the product instruction manual.


(7) No-load operation must be carried out before operation, pay attention to check, there should be no abnormal noise and smell.


(8) The professional maintenance personnel shall regularly inspect and repair the hoist.

5. Electrical control system


(1) The starting frequency of the motor is not more than 6 times/min, and the continuous uninterrupted time should be less than 30min.


(2) When the cable suspension length exceeds 100m, cable tensile protection measures should be taken.


(3) Regularly check all electrical connectors, there should be no looseness, otherwise it should be tightened in time.


(4) The suspended power cable should be fixed on the suspended platform to avoid the plug being directly pulled.


(5) The electrical box, limit switch and cable should avoid external impact.


(6) Turn off the power after use, lock the electrical box, and cover it properly to prevent rain.
