Excavator Working For A Long Time Will Cause Engine Wear And Cylinder Pull

Nov 12, 2020

Excavators have been working for a long time, and all kinds of common faults and problems can be encountered. People take the big cardiovascular system of the excavator-the engine, such as cylinder pulling, wear, black smoke, and carbon deposits. This kind of general and complicated problem puzzles everyone from beginning to end! Cylinder pulling is one of the key reasons that lead to major and common engine failures. Significant vertical scratches and scratches appear in the cylinder cavity, which seriously damages the characteristics of the engine. There are many reasons for the cylinder pulling. Please listen to the excavator maintenance technician to break down.

1. Poor running-in period: The main cylinder of the newly opened or repaired engine has many external economic dents and protrusions. It is difficult to generate lubricating oil. If the running-in period is not completed, the capital will be invested in large-load operation, which is easy to cause cylinder pulling safety accident;

2. Heavy carbon deposition: Carbon deposition is a hard wear-resistant material. Excessive carbon deposition can cause the piston ring to stick and get stuck in the ring, which will polish vertical groove marks on the inner wall of the cylinder;

3. Large accelerator pedal before the engine is heated, long-term load: the engine is not heated, and the parts are not sufficiently lubricated. If the large accelerator pedal is used for a long time, the initial wear of the cylinder bore will increase.

Note:

Excessive cylinder wear can cause the following problems:

1. The driving force of the excavator will be significantly reduced.

2. It will lead to an increase in the fuel consumption of the excavator, which will endanger the actual lubrication effect of all system software of the engine.

3. The engine must be overhauled after excessive cylinder wear, which is expensive. The driver suffered property damage.

Key countermeasures to reduce cylinder wear:

1. The average temperature in winter is low. After the engine is started, it must be heated for 1-2 minutes to make the lubricating oil reach each lubrication point. After each component is sufficiently lubricated, it just starts to develop. Note that it is not necessary to cool the car to increase the speed ratio and develop . At the beginning of development, the acceleration of the accelerator pedal to increase the speed ratio will increase the dry friction between the cylinder and the piston rod and increase the wear of the cylinder. There is no need to wait for too long, too long will cause carbon deposits in the main cylinder and increase the wear of the cylinder bore.

2. Another key reason for a hot car depends on the fact that 90% of the car oil in the engine flows into the car oil shell under the engine after the car has been parked for a long time at rest, and only a small part of the car oil remains in the car oil passage. Therefore, after ignition, the upper part of the engine is in a situation of lack of lubrication, and the engine will not be pumped to every part of the engine that must be lubricated due to the operation of the high-pressure oil pump after 30 seconds of operation.

3. During operation, the engine refrigerant should be maintained at all normal temperatures within the range of 80~96℃. The temperature is too low or too high, which will cause damage to the cylinder.

4. Improve maintenance, immediately clean the air filter element, and prohibit disassembly of the air filter element while driving. The key is to avoid dust particles entering the cylinder with the gas, causing wear of the cylinder bore.

Summary: The engine is the cardiovascular system of the excavator. The maintenance of the cardiovascular system can ensure that your excavator can perform its work better. When repairing common faults at the engine level, the excavator repairer must be very careful and attentive. The common failures involve more components, and they are all the common failures of the excavator which are more headaches for the maintenance staff. At the time of maintenance, people should do adequate inspections and observations. Only in time can the common faults be eliminated. In addition, maintenance costs and time can be reduced.
